BMW M3 electric to cost nearly the same as its petrol sibling

New reports suggest some really interesting info about the BMW M3 electric. It is being said that the price of the upcoming EV could fall in the same bracket as its petrol sibling.

According to Sylvia Neubauer, BMW M’s sales boss, both versions will coexist, offering buyers a clear choice between ICE and EV without a major price gap. While there will be functional and design differences, the two cars will be like “twins”.

The M3 electric will be based on BMW’s Neue Klasse platform, forming the foundation for the brand’s next-gen EV lineup. Early reports suggest a quad-motor setup – 1 on each wheel – that will produce close to a staggering 1000 bhp. Prototypes have already been spotted testing, hinting at serious development progress.

Meanwhile, the petrol M3 isn’t going anywhere. It will evolve into a new generation, continuing on the familiar CLAR platform but adopting design cues inspired by the Neue Klasse philosophy.
