Ford Racing took to its social media channels to announce that the Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 2200 is now the quickest electric car on the planet!
The Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 2200 has clocked a new record time of 6.87 seconds for the quarter-mile run. It achieved a trap speed of 221 mph and hence became the quickest EV in the world.
The Cobra Jet 2200 uses 2 electric motors that generate a power output of 2200 hp. Ford Racing has also used a unique clutch and transmission system that helped the EV to gain traction while launching.
